Three Criteria for Policy Reform
Last month, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner
announced a comprehensive regulatory reform proposal
for the OTC derivatives markets. The proposal is an
important step toward much-needed reform. We welcome
the recognition of industry measures to safeguard the
smooth functioning of our markets, and the need for the
continued availability of derivatives custom-tailored to
users’ needs.
