ISDA Outlines Strategic Vision for Transforming Operational
   Processing of OTC Derivatives Marketplace

At its annual FpML conference in London, ISDA will release a consultative paper outlining its vision for accelerating the pace of automation in the processing of OTC derivatives trades.

Feinstein Amendment Defeated

On November 5, the US Senate voted (56 to 41), to again defeat Senator Feinstein's market oversight amendment that would have made sweeping changes to existing law. ISDA led an industry coalition opposing the amendment and coordinated a joint trade association response letter to the Senate. ISDA is grateful for all the support of members who contributed time and effort to this important regulatory issue. The result of the Senate vote demonstrates congressional support for upholding the legal framework for swaps and preserving the ability of companies to use swaps to manage risk.
