ISDA Opens Washington Office, Appoints
New Staff
In October, ISDA opened
a Washington, DC office and announced the appointment of several
new regulatory and policy staff in North America and Europe. The
Washington location will operate as a governmental advocacy office,
underscoring ISDA’s commitment to serving the needs of its
members through legislative and regulatory processes.

Credit Derivatives Confirmation; Equity Derivatives
Definitions User’s Guide Published
The 2003 Sovereign Master
Credit Derivatives Confirmation was published on October 22. It
is available at ISDA’s website (www.isda.org).
The User’s
Guide to the 2002 ISDA Equity Derivatives Definitions is also
available. The Guide provides a detailed review of the provisions
featured in the 2002 Definitions and outlines the differences between
the new provisions and those published in the 1996 Definitions.

ISDA Announces 2003 Mid-Year Market
Survey Results
According to ISDA’s
2003 Mid-Year Market Survey results, both vanilla swaps and credit
derivatives grew by approximately 25 percent during the first six
months of 2003.
