ISDA TO RELEASE LIBRARY OF INTERACTIVE DOCUMENTS

AT 16TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

NEW YORK, Thursday, March 29, 2001 – The International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) will launch its Library of Interactive ISDA Documentation during its 16th Annual General Meeting, which will be held in Washington, D.C., April 3-6, 2001. The Library, which will be showcased at a special exhibition booth at the AGM, will contain all key documents ever produced by the Association, including Master Agreements, User’s Guides, Credit Support Documentation and ISDA Definitions.

The Library will feature a text search engine that locates key terms within and between documents and will also contain navigational enhancement tools to facilitate easy access to defined terms, appendices and sections within and between documents. It will be available via CD-ROM to ISDA member firms for installation on their company intranets.

The introduction of the Library is the latest in a number of e-commerce initiatives made by the Association in the last year, including the unveiling of a new web site dedicated to the online sale of the full library of ISDA documentation, www.isdadocs.org, in December 2000. The Association also responded to the increasing importance of e-commerce in today’s derivatives marketplace by hosting a number of highly successful e-commerce forums at its annual Member Updates. Its EMU protocol, which was utilized again last year for the introduction of the Greek drachma, has been hailed as an innovative use of the Internet in providing an efficient, low cost means to address a range of issues related to the European Economic and Monetary Union and the emergence of the euro.

ISDA documents will continue to be offered both in print and static, non-interactive electronic forms for industry participants who prefer these formats.  Member firms interested in acquiring the Library of Interactive ISDA Documentation should contact ISDA by email at isda@isda.org or by telephone at (212) 332-1200.
