ISDA PRESS BRIEFING AND 2004 REGIONAL CONFERENCE

 

The International Swaps and Derivatives Association will hold a press briefing in conjunction with its 2004 Regional Conference in Tokyo on Thursday, October 28, 2004. Accredited journalists are invited to attend the afternoon sessions following the press briefing.

 

WHAT:           ISDA 2004 REGIONAL CONFERENCE

The recent finalization of the Basel II Accord provides the springboard for discussion at this year’s member conference, which will feature expert insights from ISDA member firms and ISDA staff on the Accord and its broad business implications, as well as ISDA’s instrumental efforts in influencing the Accord.

 

Topics of discussion will include ISDA’s activities in the documentation, credit derivatives, collateral, operations and accounting and disclosure areas. Derivatives developments in China will also be discussed. The complete agenda is available at www.isda.org.

 

PRESS BRIEFING

ISDA Executive Director and CEO, Robert Pickel, as well as ISDA staff, Board and committee members, will be on hand to answer questions and discuss market developments and Association initiatives at the press briefing.

 

The briefing will offer journalists insight into the day’s sessions, as well as recent and upcoming activities of the Association.
