Job Title: Head of Solutions Adoption

Location: London, UK

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for driving adoption of ISDA’s suite of digital solutions, including (but not limited to) the CDM, ISDA Create, ISDA Amend, MyLibrary and Perun. A critical part of the role will involve engaging directly with members, working groups and non-members to raise awareness of ISDA’s digital solutions, identifying leads and presenting the key product features and value proposition, with the aim of driving broad adoption across the industry. This role is highly collaborative and will involve constant cooperation and coordination with the digital transformation team, the communications department and other policy teams at ISDA. A key responsibility will be to foster an ISDA-wide culture focused on advancing and promoting adoption of ISDA’s solutions, as well as ensuring ISDA staff members have the knowledge and resources they need to describe product features and benefits to members.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Drive Implementation of ISDA’s Products and Services
    • Devise and implement an adoption strategy for ISDA’s suite of digital solutions, aligning with the company’s overall strategic direction
    • Collaborate and coordinate closely with ISDA policy teams on meetings, leads and product development to ensure alignment across the organization
    • Lead, manage and advise on implementation objectives
    • Understand the economics of digital solutions, the required future stakeholder investments versus benefits, and inform the value proposition accordingly
    • Engage directly with member firms, ISDA working groups and non-member firms to raise awareness of ISDA’s products and services, demonstrate the value proposition, identify leads and see through to adoption
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify key decision makers for each product area at member and non-member firms, and engage directly with those individuals
    • Work with leadership and digital transformation team to develop and track KPIs that demonstrate adoption of ISDA’s digital solutions. Establish and track key product success metrics, driving continuous improvement based on data-driven insights, and report regularly to management
    • Work with key internal and external stakeholders to understand customer needs and market trends and work on product development with digital transformation team
    • Liaise with the communications team to develop supporting content, including case studies and other materials to build awareness, focusing on the value propositions to specific target audiences
    • Participate in ISDA events globally to raise awareness of product features and benefits
    • Maintain calendar of relevant industry events, secure speaking slots where possible, and coordinate with the communications and conferences teams on exhibition/sponsorship opportunities
    • Ensure member-facing ISDA staff are aware of product features and updates and understand the value proposition of each solution; conduct training and ensure ongoing support for ISDA staff
    • See the big picture and maintain the key strategic deliverables of the role at the forefront of the planning process
  • Project Management
    • Develop short- medium- and long-term plans for product adoption – share and validate with key stakeholders
    • Regularly report to leadership team on adoption milestones
    • Maintain comprehensive record of meetings, leads, contacts and progress to adoption
  • Relationship Management
    • Build strong relationships across ISDA globally and utilize the broad reach of ISDA to expand the visibility of ISDA’s digital solutions
    • Collaborate and coordinate closely with ISDA’s policy teams on meetings and leads and ensure alignment across the organization on adoption objectives
    • Develop, lead and speak at ISDA conferences and work collaboratively with ISDA’s conferences department
    • Coordinate with ISDA’s membership department to identify leads to help deliver ISDA’s objectives
    • Work closely with the communications and digital transformation teams to develop resources and materials to support adoption
    • Develop and maintain strong member relationships and develop relationships with non-member firms
  • Market Knowledge
    • Research topics and news related to members and issues topical for ISDA and its digital solutions
    • Remain well-versed in key industry issues, especially those that affect ISDA members and ISDA solutions
    • Understand legislative and regulatory proposals and how these will impact or create opportunities for ISDA’s digital solutions and products
  • Technical Specialist:
    • Strong knowledge of the fintech and regtech arena and the new and emerging technologies that could be deployed in capital markets (eg, smart contracts, DLT and AI)

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance or engineering/technology, business or related field is preferred (or equivalent industry experience)

Relevant Skills / Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of business development, solutions-based selling and data-driven implementation
  • Proven experience in managing digital products, ideally in a product-led organization
  • Strong awareness of regulatory changes that impact derivatives markets
  • Proven ability to gain credibility at all levels quickly; excellent relationship management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and proactively contribute ideas views and recommendations
  • Strong ability to promote change and manage resistance and have difficult conversations while maintaining working relationships
  • Ability to adapt plans, based on data-driven input
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to address issues with tact and diplomacy in order to reach consensus across a wide range of market participants. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of member firms
  • Detail-oriented in composing, typing and proofing materials
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic who demonstrates an appreciation for punctuality, reliability and a desire to drive change and achieve results
  • Demonstrated ability to influence change, supporting implementation of new concepts, tools and transforming culture
  • Team player who contributes to success of the immediate team and ISDA as a whole

Experience

  • A minimum of 10+ years’ experience within financial services with exposure to people and technology product change/program management, preferably with a derivatives background
  • A minimum of 10+ years’ experience within business development (financial product or technology)
  • A proven track record of selling and helping to deliver large B2B digital solutions in financial services
