Reports to – Associate Director of Media Technology

Location: London

 

Overview of Position:

The Media Technology Specialist will be the go-to person for all media, audio visual and streaming needs, providing end-user support for all for onsite, virtual and hybrid events.  This role will report to Associate Director of Media Technology and is based in our London headquarters. Travel is required to attend ISDA conferences and to support domestic and international ISDA offices as needed.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operations of AV equipment across all conference rooms and meeting spaces
  • Oversee all external and in-office conferences and events which includes determining the technical requirements and supporting them through to event completion
  • Provide support for conferences and events, including setting up computers, tablets, and streaming devices, recording events, and coordinating video streaming requests
  • Produce and edit ISDA On Demand recordings (audio and video) for publication online
  • Manage all aspects of online audio and video recording and publication for ISDA including podcasts, town halls, webinars, and video interviews
  • Maintain ISDA Conference Center event recordings and On Demand platform for the conference team that will be used for training purposes or quality review
  • Travel with ISDA conference staff as needed to liaise with venue AV teams and supervise recording
  • Manage AV projects globally including planning, installation, and maintenance of integrated AV systems in all ISDA offices
  • Conduct training on the proper usage of AV systems and software
  • Augment IT operational support where AV is used on ISDA technology infrastructure such as Teams, Zoom, and WebEx
  • Create detailed documentation on AV systems for each office
  • Perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for teleprompters, projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, LCD Displays, scalers, and switches.
  • Continually look for opportunities to develop solutions through process automation, and improved reliability
  • Troubleshoot technology issues with attendees/speakers for onsite, virtual and hybrid events (including but not limited to Wi-Fi, audio issues, security, hardware, etc.)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT or AV support role
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Knowledge of computer/projector interfacing, resolutions, scaling, and aspect ratios
  • Experience with audio mixing, microphones and recording equipment, video camera set up and removal
  • Strong understanding of signal flow and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of room acoustics and mic pattern usages.
  • Experience with an incident management/ticketing system
  • Experience producing webcast ready AV control rooms for large presentation spaces
  • Experience with AV hardware and software (Adobe Creative Suite, Zoom, Teams, Creston Control systems, Distributed Audio Systems, AV Matrix Switches, Cisco Codecs, etc.)
  • AV Portfolio required (including organizations and venues worked, equipment used, and any audio or video files produced)
