Job Title: Systems Engineer
Reports to: Director, Technology Operations and Infrastructure
Location: New York (Hybrid Working)
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000

About the Job

Responsible for efficient, continuous, and reliable core infrastructure services and end user support at ISDA. The Network Systems Engineer works closely with the Director of O&I and peer IT operations technicians, to maintain ISDA’s diverse technology platforms and end user support programs.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design, implementation and support of all networked systems and infrastructure
  • Work closely with Cybersecurity team to ensure compliance and alignment with the cybersecurity roadmap for ISDA
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Leverage Apple DEP, Autopilot, Intune, AD GPO, Scripting, and other such automation best practices to improve onboarding processes and lower the human intervention time on daily support tasks
  • Anticipate the support needs of ISDA staff and troubleshoot issues effecting systems uptime and performance while reducing repetitive trouble tickets
  • Support other areas of IT such as the Database and Website Development teams to ensure the smooth and reliable operations of ISDA’s public facing member web services
  • Provide senior level support for key ISDA business partners

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Server with Active Directory in a virtual production environment
  • Extensive knowledge of Azure AD and Intune is required including hybrid on-prem AD with Azure AD
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, etc. )
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring systems such as New Relic and Orion
  • Knowledgeable with the deployment and support of Windows and Linux Servers in cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure
  • Good working knowledge of scripting languages (Ansible, Python, Bash, PowerShell etc.)
  • Strong grasp of TCP/IP and VPN networking fundamentals
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure situations

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Technology, or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of information technology/information security/cybersecurity and customer service operations experience, with an emphasis on infrastructure support services required

After hours support & travel requirements:

  • ISDA maintains technology platforms and systems in four main offices worldwide and three branch or satellite offices with a fully Hybrid workforce in each of these locations. Experience with being on-call and travel during project work is part of the role requirements
