Job Title: Payroll Administrator Reports to: Senior Controller, Finance Location: New York (Hybrid Working)
Payroll Administrator and processor will be responsible for performing all payroll functions of the organization, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Duties and responsibilities
Process semi-monthly U.S payroll using ADP for approximately 60 employees.
Update employee information including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Coordinate with Hong Kong, Singapore, and Brussels office payroll agencies for accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, benefits, and tax payments.
Work with London accountant to book monthly salary and benefit expenses in accounting system.
Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports for expense tracking.
Facilitate audits by providing payroll records, expenses support and documentation to outside auditors.
Perform other general accounting functions such as bank reconciliations, booking expenses and revenue in to accounting system.
Assist in month end closing, perform analysis and reconciliation of accounts.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
At least three to five years of payroll related experience required.
Experience/ Skills required
Knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, reconciliations, internal control, and payroll taxes.
General knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger accounts and how they relate to various line items on P&L and Balance Sheet.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Knowledge of ADP payroll software preferred but not required.
