The way in which cross-border financial services between the UK and the EU27 are transacted will change post Brexit and this will require changes to the business models of UK and US financial services firms alike. This panel will consider various possible outcomes under both ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ Brexit scenarios and what that means for passporting, relocation of booking centers, repapering of contracts and challenges to avoid market fragmentation and reduced liquidity. The panel will also consider the impact on regulatory reforms and equivalence agreements between US, UK and EU regulators.
