On 28 April 2020, ISDA and FIA submitted a joint response to the consultation launched by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) on the provision of investment services in the European Union by non-European investment firms under the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (MiFIR).
ESMA will now examine responses before finalising the draft implementing rules (Regulatory Technical Standards and Implementation Technical Standards).
