On June 8, ISDA submitted a response to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) consultation on draft regulatory technical standards (RTS) under the European Benchmarks Regulation (BMR) covering governance, methodology, infringements reporting and critical benchmarks, as mandated under the European Supervisory Authorities review. ESMA is expected to submit the draft RTS to the European Commission (EC) by October 2020. The EC will then have up to a period of three months to adopt the draft RTS.
