ISDA has expanded its SwapsInfo website to include data on US-reported foreign exchange (FX) derivatives, further increasing transparency in the over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives market.
The new FX section provides insights into trading activity in FX forwards, swaps and options. Users can analyze the data by product type, currency pair, execution method, tenor and clearing status, making it easier to identify market trends and compare activity across different segments of the market.
SwapsInfo enhances transparency in the derivatives market by transforming publicly available transaction data into interactive, user-friendly tools. The website currently provides data on interest rate derivatives and credit derivatives reported in the EU, UK and US. The addition of US-reported FX derivatives expands the range of data available on the platform, giving users a more comprehensive view of activity in key OTC derivatives markets.
The inclusion builds on ISDA’s broader work to support the FX derivatives market. Earlier this year, ISDA and EMTA published the 2026 FX Definitions, which will replace the 1998 FX and Currency Option Definitions as the market standard for FX derivatives transactions from November 22, 2027.
“SwapsInfo was developed to make derivatives market data more accessible and easier to analyze. The addition of FX derivatives broadens the scope of the platform and gives market participants and policymakers another valuable source of information for analyzing activity in OTC derivatives markets,” said Olga Roman, ISDA’s Head of Research.
The FX dataset includes transactions publicly reported to the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation swap data repository under US Commodity Futures Trading Commission regulations.
The enhanced SwapsInfo website is available at www.swapsinfo.org.
