Template of Amendment Agreement for Stay Requirements in Japan (for the Agricultural and Fishery Co-operative Savings Insurance Act)
This Amendment Agreement is intended to allow market participants to bilaterally amend contracts to incorporate certain contractual recognition clauses with respect to a temporary stay under the Agricultural and Fishery Co-operative Savings Insurance Act into certain financial contracts that are governed by the law of a third country and to which one of the parties is a certain firm designated under the Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Agricultural Cooperative Financial Institutions (amended as of July 1, 2023).
For members’ convenience, the memorandum briefing the background and the outline of this Amendment Agreement has been prepared by Linklaters Tokyo together with the English translation of the comparison showing the changes made to the aforementioned Guidelines.
