2:50pm – UK MiFID Transaction Reporting: FCA Consultation

    • UK MIFID transaction reporting is due to undergo a significant rewrite, with the FCA publishing a consultation paper outlining proposed changes in November 2025. With notable changes expected to be made to the current reporting technical standards, and the potential for simplifying requirements and improving data quality, this panel will review the key points proposed within the FCA’s consultation paper, the potential impact to the industry and how UK rule may diverge form EU MIFIR requirements.

3:35pm – Streamlining reporting: Reflections on ESMA Call for Evidence

    • ESMA’s call for evidence on the simplification of financial transaction reporting provided the industry with an opportunity to influence what could arguably be the biggest overhaul of the reporting framework since EMIR and MIFIR were first implemented. The intention to streamline the reporting framework will shape reporting within the EU for potentially decades to come. With around 100 responses submitted to the call for evidence, and ESMA in the process of developing a final report, panelists will consider which of the options proposed may have the biggest impact, whether the proposals go far enough and if changes to the EU reporting ecosystem could have a wider global impact.

4:15pm – From Compliance to Innovation: The Evolution of Digital Reporting

    • Both the UK and EU are working to improve and streamline regulatory reporting. What role can technology play in enhancing efficiency and improving data quality? What can the industry do now to utilize the benefits of technology? ISDA’s Digital Regulatory Reporting (DRR) initiative, based on the Common Domain Model, is already used by market participants to increase reporting efficiency, accuracy and cost effectiveness. This panel will explore how the ISDA DRR will benefit firms and regulators, the future of digital reporting, the role of technology within regulatory rewrites and the potential applications of AI
