ISDA has published a new version of its Financial products Markup Language (FpML), a widely used open-source standard for the electronic dealing and processing of derivatives transactions.
The latest iteration – version 5.14 – incorporates several key modifications and updates to reflect changes in market practice.
This includes revisions to support optional elections in version 2 of the 2002 ISDA Equity Derivatives Definitions (Versionable Edition), coverage of digital caps and floors and constant maturity swaps, and a more flexible representation of commodity schedules, such as hourly off-peak electricity. Version 5.14 also includes the addition of over 1,000 artificial-intelligence-generated business definition, providing a richer, more complete set of set of FpML representations.
Full details of the changes are available in the specifications section of the FpML website.
For more information, visit the FpML website or contact info@fpml.org.
