Canada’s national benchmark reform working group (CARR) has recommended that CDOR’s administrator (RBSL) cease its publication after June 2024. As RBSL contemplates this recommendation, the panel will discuss four key topics:

  • Why did CARR conclude that CDOR should no longer be published?
  • What are the steps for a successful transition and what lessons can Canadian market participants learn from the LIBOR transition?
  • How would a transition affect financial products referencing CDOR?
  • What would Canada’s financial system look like without CDOR?
