This event will cover some of the upcoming re-writes to the EMIR and CFTC reporting rules, the global cross-jurisdiction standards being established, impact of EMIR Refit to reporting and how regulators and the industry can improve reporting efficiency.

This panel will provide an overview of those changes and discuss the impacts, benefits and challenges to the industry.

The CFTC consultation on the re-write of reporting rules closed in May and will be the first major jurisdiction to adopt much of the CPMI-IOSCA CDE fields. What can the industry expect when the final CFTC rules are published and will this lead to harmonization throughout global reporting regimes? What are the repercussions of non-alignment of reporting rules across jurisdictions?

10:50 AM Transforming Data Reporting and Collection – What does the Future look like?
Regulators and the financial industry are working on initiatives to make data reporting requirements more efficient and cheaper for firms to adhere to, while also improving the accuracy and consistency of the data. The panel will consider some of these initiatives including the Bank of England’s recent discussion paper on transforming data collection and the ISDA CDM.
